Anyone who has built electronic modules for controlling starting and braking into their system before is familiar with a particular problem – while one train reaches its precise stopping point, a second stops hugely short of it and a third even continues at such a speed that it overshoots the mark entirely or halts abruptly! Regardless of what control attempts are made, nothing is 100% suitable for all vehicles! This is the result of the varying driving characteristics of each of the individual traction units. Therefore, we have developed a track module with speed-regulated delay. By measuring the approaching train, the slow speed during deceleration is set. In this way, faster trains are decelerated more, whereas slower trains are decelerated to a lesser extent, thus allowing each train to arrive at its intended target.

This microprocessor-controlled module functions using pulse width control. 64 speeds are available. It is specifically for use in block sections and is controlled by the input for occupancy indication for the next track section or ground potential (=free) in connection with the three built-in track occupied indicators.

For use in block sections, single- and double-track, without influence in opposite direction. Aside from the occupancy indicator outlets for all three individual sections, there is also an overall occupancy indicator outlet for switching multiple track component 2024s in a row in automatic block section operation or for feedback via feedback modules 1051 and 1151. In addition to this, a light block signal can also be attached. As such, this compact device enables complete and independent block control. One 2024 module is required per block section.

Transit in the opposite direction at a red signal is possible and occurs without influencing the train.

Requires a traction current source (max. 12V=) and an adjunct current supply (16V~ or =) to operate.

The Switch Decoder 1130 switches points, signals, relay modules, sound modules, decouplers and other electrically operated elements. Every switch decoder has 16 outlets for 8 points (magnetic twin coil operators), for example. All outlets are switched to ground with an impulse of 0.2 seconds, making it possible to use point mechanisms without individual limit switch contacts. Each outlet can withstand up to 1.5A and, thanks to the circuit breaker in the central control unit, short-circuits have no adverse effect. Each switch decoder is addressed via a 4-pin DIP switch. In this way, it is possible to connect up to 16 differently addressed switch decoders to a control centre, resulting in 128 possible switch addresses. A 15-pole cable provides the connection. Every switch decoder is fitted with a connector and a connection jack to connect this cable to the next switch decoder. The switch decoder can be fitted wherever it is required, including underneath the system. All the necessary ports required for the power supply to the points, signals, etc. to be switched are located on the switch decoders, eliminating the need for additional cabling and reducing the length of time required to set up the model railway system.

The Switch-to-Ground Prinzip is to make it possible to use external power with higher voltage (up to 24V DC) for more powerfull switching and saving power from the trackswitch voltage source.

The Universal Decoder 1131 is freely programmable in terms of both its receiving address and its outlet switch time, and a special programming mode is incorporated in control centres with software version V2.12. and above for this purpose. The outlet switch times can be selected from 10 speeds from 0.2 seconds right through to continuous operation. Continuous operation is intended for use with the direct connection of light signals, thus four of the eight outlets are always active in this operating mode. The eight outlets are assigned to four pairs of address outlets. In continuous operation, the odd outlets are active (always the left-hand connector when connectors are lying upwards) in the home position (that is, after switching on the power supply) = stop (red).
For direct connections of motor-operated point mechanisms, switch times of 0.2 to 15 seconds can be programmed for the changeover time, thus eliminating the need for additional relay modules and their extra wiring.

The Display Module 1140 enables the visual display of the operational state of your system on the track control panel. Information relating to active routes, track occupied notifications, signals, point positions, etc. can be displayed here. 8 displays can be connected to each display module. Each of the outlets can be loaded with up to 0.5A, carrying a positive potential of 16V. Displays in the track control panel should preferably be constructed using LEDs in order to reduce the overall power requirements of larger systems. As such, this module is not only particularly suitable for being connected to the Digimoba track layout modules, but also for commercially available LEDs with series resistor (c. 1.5kΩ). Up to 64 display modules in a row can be connected to the display bus on the central control system Trackswitch, making it possible to have up to 512 displays on the track control panel. As the display modules were specially designed for this purpose in the track control panel, they are mounted appropriately below the track control panel. All of the connections required to operate the track layout displays, including the collective ground connection, can be found on the display module, eliminating the need for extra supply lines.

Specifically developed in accordance with modern model railway system requirements. Each feedback module has 8 isolated inlets, electrically separated from the electronic system by optocouplers. The feedback module is connected to the centre 1000 or 1100 using a separate 6-pin cable with modular plugs (8015-19). The feedback modules are simply connected in a row and so can be expanded to up to 32 modules. Thus, up to 256 feedback signals can be fed in. This includes in particular line occupied signals, track switches, track contacts, point position feedback signals, timers, switch keys and other switching operations. Switch keys can also be connected within the signal box for some specific applications (e.g. for track splitting, for operating special edition models and working models, etc.), in order to activate defined processes and automatic mechanisms. These are specified in advance in the central unit ‘Trackswitch’.

This new development from 2015 is the ‘digital brother’ of its analogue counterparts. The module was designed for the DCC digital system. With this module, independent block section controls, as well as set-ups as go slow tracks, steep descents, in connection with 3-aspect signals as speed-dependent entries to/ exits out of train stations or other operationally necessary go slow areas are also possible. The integrated speed recognition controls the variable go slow passage, thus enabling pinpoint stopping. With a setting controller, calibration of the working sections of varying length is possible to a large extent. The respective start/ brake acceleration is individually set in the decoder CVs for each vehicle. With this module, digitally operated systems become hugely more convenient, avoiding the need to fall back on a computer and the necessary software.

Due to its easy controllability from the outside, this module is ideally suited to integration into systems which use the Trackswitch control system, and multiple 2025 modules can be combined in a cascade to create an independent block system without the need for additional electronic wiring or equipment. Even the block signals (light signals) can be directly connected. Thanks to built-in delays, operation with the 2025 module is particularly realistic. The train only sets off once the signal has been green for 3 seconds. The segment being left is only declared as free 5 seconds after being vacated by the last vehicle.

Transit in the opposite direction at a red signal is possible both at normal and go slow speed.

And the best bit – for all of these features and functions, you do not need a specialised decoder! Any DCC decoder can be used, as the previously required braking systems for DCC digital (ABC, brakes with direct current, etc.) are not needed here.
